Feelings about the Stars - Joseph Bavetta

posted Oct 19, 2016, 9:53 AM by Sayeda Yumna-ali

The starts are areas of terrestrial beauty.
They astonish me with their gleaming twinkle, celestial years and sweet teachings.
They toss and twist, they trail their tail,
then leave their soon to be indelible stain on the inky, weary sky.

Think Again - Joseph Bavetta

Heaps of people very often are usually wrong about how they see me.
These people think unkind things about me and they pretend to care with a leering look and false grin.
Think again.
You might learn something on the real me if you only take the time to really look.

Running - Nicholas Paris

Run, run fast arrow like a bullet speeding through earth,
Really feeling the wind on your face,
The cool air cutting through your skin,
Legs feeling light like they are jelly,
Run like you are being chased.
Are you ready?
Time to be free!

You Are Beautiful - Francesco Furlotti

There once was a butterfly who did not have all the colours like the rest,
Then God said you are beautiful as you are.

There once was a tiger who did not have black stripes like the rest,
Then God said you are beautiful as you are.

There once was a fish who did not swim like the rest,
Then God said you are beautiful as you are.

There once was a leopard who did not have bold spots like the rest,
Then God said you are beautiful as you are.

There once was a rabbit who did not hop like the rest,
Then God said you are beautiful as you are.

There once was a boy who had autism,
Then God said you are beautiful as you are.

The Teacher is each and every day,
Teaching away to help the students display,
Their skills and actions are also needed,
So the pupils feel they have succeeded!

Emotions - Joseph Bavetta

posted Oct 14, 2016, 4:16 AM by Sayeda Yumna-ali

Each time I decide what to talk about I get tense dealing with the emotion of my senses.
The thoughts are deep within me but neglect to respond to my outward movements.
My hands do things then my mind realises that the things are not the ones that I intended.
I feel trapped; head not in constant control.

My Birthday - Joseph Bavetta

I want to talk about my life.
I am another year older and wiser.
I have been given so many gifts all my life and I am WELL lucky to be so loved.
But the best gift is nothing to do with material things.
It is the acknowledgement that I am smart.
I can learn and I can tell anyone what is on my mind.
No one can question or judge me.
I am grateful.

A Story - Joseph Bavetta

One day there was a young boy who could not speak.
As the time passed he grew more and more sad.
He felt poor without the ability to speak to his loving family.
It was too much to bear to not be able to tell them he loved them.
The frustration was getting high.
He had tonnes of stuff to say.
There was even more to learn.
He wanted to feel how to be free.
He wanted to know about the stars or animals.
He longed to learn about the sea and the great wars of History.
He wanted to know all the facts in the world but nobody could read his mind.
One day, a miracle came from the sky.
His devoted mother found the magic box that gave him the powers to say what he wanted which was;
I am thankful for all that you do.

The Sea - Nicholas Paris

posted Sep 20, 2016, 9:28 AM by Sayeda Yumna-ali

The calm tide rolled on to shore,
The sun gleamed like never before,
The heart was at peace,
The wind was very lonely and kind,
Then the wind grew anger not in heart but in mind.

The sea grew fearful and wanted to retreat,
But the harsh wind would not accept defeat,
The waves grew bigger and splashed,
They feared the worst as they crashed.

The eye of the storm was destruction,
The heart was in a stormy situation,
But soon the wind let up and its anger ceased,
All was calm and the sea was once again at peace.

"Please forgive me" said the wind,
"How can I trust you?" asked the sea,
"We are one" said the wind.

Stars - Joseph Bavetta

I used to wonder when I looked up at the night sky,
What are these twinkling little things?,
They shine and shimmer like little beings.

I used to wonder when I looked up at the night sky,
Where did they come from?,
So perfectly placed like they were there all along.

I used to wonder when I looked up at the night sky,
What are they made of?,
Balls of fire and dust that have the power to destruct.

I used to wonder when I looked up at the night sky,
What is their purpose each time they are looked upon with wandering eyes?,
To guide and light the way for the lost travellers.
